Application information

Youth Camp- 2011 Applications will be online in January of 2011.
Camp Rising Sun's youth camp is designed for children ages 8-13 with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. Typically-developing children (those without autism) may apply to attend camp serving as peer models. Campers wishing to attend camp must turn 8 by the first day of camp. Applications are due via U.S. postal service no later than April 1, 2010. It is highly recommended that you return them as soon as possible as all camper slots fill withing 5 weeks of opening registration. To download an application, please click on the link below.
Adolescent Camp- 2011 Applications will be online in January of 2011.
Campers ages 14-17 with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorders and their typically-developing peers (those without autism) are eligible to attend Camp Rising Sun's adolescent camp. Campers must turn 14 by the first day of camp to be eligible to attend this camp. Applications are due via U.S. postal service no later than April 1, 2010. Counselors-in-Training (CIT)- 2011 Applications will be online soon!
Counselors-in-Training are individuals who seek leadership opportunities and desire to enrich the lives of children living with autism. To be eligible to be a CIT, individuals must be 16 or 17 years of age by the first day of camp. Camp Rising Sun encourages both typically-developing individuals and those with autsim to apply for these positions. In addition to filling out the application and securing a letter of recommendation, all applicants will participate in an interview as part of our selection process. Counselor applications may be accessed by following the link provided below. For your convenience, you may either send your completed application back electronically or mail us a hard copy of your application. Deadline for receipt of applications is April 1, 2010. Please make sure to indicate which camp session(s) you are interested in working.
